CRL's internship program is designed to give students valuable experience in a professional setting while broadening their knowledge of Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs). We hope to educate and create a passion for the field of community development in the next generation of leaders.
We are seeking an Intern to join our Philanthropy Team!
Are you interested in supporting a team dedicated to advancing their mission of combating predatory lending practices and advocating for fair lending policies at both the state and federal levels?
The CRL Philanthropy team is looking for an enthusiastic intern eager to explore the world of fundraising and contribute to their efforts in securing foundational, corporate, and individual financial support to power CRL's impactful work. This full-time, 40-hour-per-week hybrid summer internship runs from May 19th to August 1st and offers a professional development experience designed to enhance your skills and knowledge.
WHAT You’ll Do:

Assist with prospect research for potential funding opportunities including drafting material for funding pitches

Maintain database records and campaign information in Salesforce related to fundraising efforts, creating reports as needed

Assist in brainstorming and generating ideas for policy and research projects, as well as campaigns aimed at attracting new funding
- Manage a calendar of grant opportunities, applications and reporting deadlines
WHAT You’ll Need:
- Undergraduate or graduate students; recent graduates welcome to apply
- Demonstrate a sincere interest in non-profit work, education, advocacy, or social work
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and public speaking skills
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills

- Strong attention to detail
