Primary Responsibilities :
Apply knowledge of systems engineering in support of system interaction / installation definition, design and development, verification methods, sustainment, modeling and simulation, test and evaluation, supportability efforts, interoperability requirements across a wide range of hardware and software systems for ship, shore and mobile based UMCS systems. Candidate will support :
Coordination, review, and update of program technical and mission documentation include system specifications, engineering planning documents, and system requirement updates,
Provide input and recommendations on all engineering and technical issues covering system development and production,
Support review and monitoring of systems requirements to include support of system verification and test planning efforts,
Support NAVAIR SETR process for the development, design, and verification of Unmanned System.
Support system assessments and provide recommendation to system requirements, design and production.
Tasks Performed :
Demonstrated Knowledge :
Support AIRWorks MQ-25 / UMCS engineering team with development, manufacturing, and fielding of systems.
Provide system engineering subject matter expertise in support of the AIRWorks MQ-25 / UMCS Project.
Support MQ-25 / UMCS engineering team with development and update updating engineering related acquisition and procurement documentation to include Systems Engineering Plans (SEP), Statement of Work (SOW), and Contractor Deliverables (CDRL).
Assists with lead systems engineer and class desk with issuance of system Flight Clearances / Air Worthiness.
Evaluate, define, and develop technical and product support efforts to include :
Systems / subsystem integration / installation requirements, specifications, and ICDs
Requirements and guidance for system installation / integration design, ICDs
Review of OEM deliverables to ensure appropriate level of technical rigor.
Support of system Risk, Issues, and Opportunities (RIO) processes
Other duties as assigned
Education / Experience :
Knowledge of NAVAIR System Engineering and Technical Review (SETR) process (NAVAIRINST 4355.19)
SENIOR : A Senior level person within a labor category has over 10 years of experience related to the functional duties for that labor category and a MA / MS degree in engineering.
Allowable Education / Experience Substitutions :
Bachelor’s Degree plus four (4) years of additional relevant work experience may be substituted for a master’s degree.
Desired Experience :
Familiarity with NAVAIR SETR events
Familiarity with NAVAIR terminology, and previous experience working within a Program Office
Ability to communicate well in team environments
Good organizational skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
Ability to adapt well in virtual and dynamic team environments
Security Clearance Required : Secret Clearance.
Estimated Travel : 10%
Location : On-site Lexington Park, MD. Remote Potential.
