Lead Maintenance Technician - Responsibilities:
The Lead Maintenance Technician’s primary duty is to ensure a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and team members by maintaining the physical integrity of the property.
- Carry out assigned duties as requested by the Superintendent in a safe manner according to company policies and procedures, state, and federal laws; e.g., OSHA, ADA, Fair Housing, etc.
- Obtain a thorough knowledge of power, water, and gas turnoffs, clean-out traps, fire extinguishers, and fire hydrants on property.
- Assists in all aspects of the property's maintenance, including building and grounds interior and exterior, custodial, preventative, corrective, deferred, and emergency maintenance.
- Repairs structural wear and damage to buildings.
- Grounds keeping and landscaping.
- Clean parking areas, sidewalks, alleyways, hallways, and common areas.
- Prepares vacant apartments including painting.
- Services appliances, equipment, plumbing, electrical system, etc.
- Traveling to assist at other locations as needed.
Lead Maintenance Technician - Requirements:
- 1-2 years of full-time maintenance experience.
- Working knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, painting, and various appliances.
- Willingness to perform tasks required and to learn and grow.
- Confident, positive attitude, good communications skills, and an ability to interact with a wide range of people.
