What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Tech- 7p position at CRMC Branding?
Colquitt Regional Medical Center is currently hiring a Nurse Assistant/Mental Health Tech for our Inpatient Gero-Psych Unit.
The CNA/MHTs answer patients’ calls for assistance, take their vital signs, and monitor their behavior and physical condition for progress or deterioration. All CNA/MHTs work under the supervision of an experienced nurse, and report any problems or worsening in a patient’s condition to the program staff. They monitor and observe clients’ health status and physical care needs at admission and while clients are in the program. They assist clients in and out of the unit, to and from eating areas & restrooms. They function as a member of the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team and perform administrative, clerical, and other tasks according to program policy. They demonstrate professionalism in all aspects of performance.
CNA/MHTs will be working with the mental health team---consisting of registered nurses, therapists, social workers, and psychiatrists---participates in planning and implementing patient treatments.
Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant or Mental Health Tech.
Must possess CPI and Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross or obtain certification through Colquitt Regional Medical Center Educational Services upon hire.
