This position is responsible for practicing medicine with physician supervision including conducting clinic examinations, assisting physician in the operating room and hospital rounds. Within physician–physician assistant (PA)/nurse practitioner (NP) relationship, PAs/NPs exercise autonomy in medical decision making and provide a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services. May have responsibility for education, research, and administrative services.
