Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Nursery Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for plants and outdoor work, contributing to the growth and maintenance of our nursery. This role involves hands-on tasks in our tree and shrub department.
Duties
- Assist in watering, fertilizing and caring for trees and shrubs.
- Helping customers to select plants and assisting them in loading their vehicles.
- Unloading trucks of new material and getting it labeled and put into the fields.
- Carry out heavy lifting as needed for transporting plants and materials.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the nursery environment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve nursery goals and objectives.
Skills
- Ability to perform outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Familiarity with farm or garden operations is a plus.
- Knowledge of trees and shrubs is ideal, but we are willing to train.
- Proficiency in using hand tools safely and effectively.
- Capability of heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by the job.
- Passion for growing plants and contributing to their development.
