Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Assistant Baker to join our team! If you love crafting artisanal bread, laminating croissants from scratch, and preparing delicious pastries, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Mix, shape, and bake a variety of breads and pastries, including sourdough, baguettes, focaccia, and croissants, while monitoring proofing and fermentation processes to ensure proper dough development and quality.
• Prepare pastry fillings and toppings, such as custards, fruit fillings, and glazes.
• Decorate pastries with attention to detail, ensuring an appealing presentation.
• Pack and prepare orders accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members to support daily bakery operations and ensure fresh baked goods are ready for the day ahead.

Qualifications:

• Previous baking experience required (artisan bread and pastry experience preferred)
• Knowledge of dough fermentation, shaping, and lamination techniques is a plus, but a strong willingness to learn is essential.
• Attention to detail, passion for baking and pride in crafting high-quality products.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle the physical demands of the job, include lifting 50lb bags of flour when needed.
• Comfortable working early morning hours.

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
