Job Summary

The Croix Companies are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in horticulture and landscape maintenance, with a keen eye for detail and a love for nurturing plants. This role involves working both independently and as part of a team to maintain beautiful gardens and landscapes, ensuring that all plants thrive in their environment.

Duties

• Perform landscape bed maintenance tasks, including planting, pruning, weeding, and mulching.
• Apply pre-emergents and fertilizers as needed throughout the growing season.
• Ensure proper irrigation and moisture levels to promote healthy plant growth.
• Collaborate with team members to design and implement garden layouts that enhance aesthetic appeal.
• Monitor plant health and identify any pests or diseases, taking appropriate action as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure tools are stored properly after use.

Requirements

• Proven experience in horticulture or gardening is mandatory.
• Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices and techniques is essential.
• Ability to operate various power tools safely and effectively.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems and their maintenance is a plus.
• Experience working in a greenhouse environment is beneficial.
• Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks for extended periods.
• Excellent attention to detail with a passion for growing plants and maintaining landscapes.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while adhering to safety protocols.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
