Job Purpose:
CROM is seeking a skilled SolidWorks Drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks for manufacturing and production purposes. You will work closely with engineers and designers to ensure accurate designs and specifications.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create and modify detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks software.
- Interpret technical specifications and develop detailed engineering drawings.
- Work closely with engineers and production teams to ensure manufacturability.
- Revise designs based on feedback from engineers and stakeholders.
- Perform regular quality checks to ensure design accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain an organized database of all CAD files and technical archives.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and company guidelines.
- Assist in product development, prototyping, and testing.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all design changes and revisions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- HS graduate required. AA degree in Drafting and Design or related field is preferred.
- Certification in Mechanical Design, CAD Drafting, or a related field.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (2D & 3D modeling).
- Experience with sheet metal, plastic, or mechanical design is a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience in drafting for mechanical, electrical or architectural projects.
- Ability to problem-solve and strong attention to detail.
- Good understanding of engineering principles and technical drawings.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Time management skills and ability to meet project deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and design standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily office.
- Occasional travel may be required for continuing education and visits to the shop/job site.
- Extended hours may be required as necessary to meet deadlines.
