Position Highlights
1. Supervise construction of projects under the administrative direction of the VP of Construction and the technical direction of the Area Manager/Project Manager Team.
2. Staff (including hiring and firing), organize, train and supervise the job site construction crew within established policies and procedures.
3. Mobilize and demobilize crew, equipment, and materials to and from the job site for each assigned project.
4. Layout construction details including vertical elevations and horizontal locations.
5. Assign work tasks and allocate materials and equipment for each day's effort.
6. Direct all work in compliance with company policies and procedures in such areas as construction methods, high quality construction, contract administration, personnel administration, and safety.
7. Manage time and resources to keep job on schedule and within budget.
8. Maintain a preventive maintenance program for assigned equipment and submit equipment maintenance sheets weekly.
9. Maintain and submit weekly job progress report, time sheets and other required reports.
10. Train crew members including Nozzleman and evaluate potential future leaders and Superintendents.
11. Coordinate any transfers of permanent Crom field employees with the office.
12. Follow CROM and OSHA Safety Program requirements.
13. Maintain current First Aid/CPR certification.
14. Promptly report any personnel accidents to the Head of Safety and Training, Risk Manager, or in their absence another appropriate Manager.
15. Conduct job site audits to ensure safety compliance and quality controls are in line with company policy and procedures.
16. Apply corrective action as needed to ensure the health and safety of all company employees on all projects.
17. Ensure employees are completing safety training as required by the company and OSHA.
18. Establish and maintain security for the job site and CROM property.
19. Take necessary precautions on the job to reduce the probability of liability claims against Crom.
20. Other duties as assigned.
Qualified Candidates Should Possess the Following:
- Remain current on all company and OSHA certifications
- Maintain ACI certification; keep valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to use a computer including Excel, eCapture, ADP, Word, etc.
- Be self-motivate and solve problems effectively.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in complete shotcrete operations.
- Must complete and pass all Safety training requirements for the foreman position.
Successful Team Members in this Position Possess the Following:
- Must have the ability to work as a member of a team.
- Must have the ability to solve arithmetic problems quickly and accurately.
- Must have the ability to use heavy construction equipment.
Working Conditions:
- Generally work 8 to 10 hour shifts, although longer shifts are common; weekend and overtime work may be required.
- Some jobs expose workers to harmful materials or chemicals, fumes, odors, loud noise, or dangerous machinery.
- Extensive travel is required since employees are expected to move with the crew from one job site to another.
