What are the responsibilities and job description for the Merchandiser position at Cromwell Growers?
Cromwell Grower is a grower based out of Cromwell CT. We supply annual plants and vegetables to Home Depots around New England. We are looking for Plant Merchandisers to join our team in Waterford CT at the Home Depot garden center.
General responsibilities include:
-Unwrapping and unloading plant carts on to tables according to merchandising guidelines
-Staging carts appropriately
-Ensuring every product is correctly signed
-Monitoring watering needs
-Culling dead product and reporting inventory needs
-Taking pictures of displays regularly
-Assisting customers with plant questions
-Ensuring that your garden center is neat and merchandised according to the planogram
This job is seasonal and runs from last week of March-mid December each year. Peak hours late April-June which is our busiest time. Weekends are required in peak season. Looking for someone who can help out 20-35 hours per week. Hours dependent on time of season. Training will start at the end of March.
No experience needed but garden and merchandising experience is a big plus! This job requires a lot of moving and is best suited for someone who likes physical activity. If you enjoy being outside and have a love for plants, this may be the job for you! Please send resume.
