Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bartender to join our team. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving a variety of beverages, and ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take drink and food orders from customers and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
- Become familiar with craft beer styles, presentation and history.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
- Process customer payments using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Monitor alcohol consumption and ensure responsible service of alcohol.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues or complaints.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and efficient service.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Bartender is a plus but a mixology degree is not required.
- Strong knowledge of retail math, including cash handling and calculating change.
- Must be able to lift or move heavy beer kegs and change taps as needed.
- Long hours standing, and bending.
- Bartenders will occasionally work off site events and festivals.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Brewery operations knowledge is a plus. TIPS certification required.
All bartenders receive tips as part of their compensation and quickly receive upgrades based on their experience and performance. We foster a strong team environment and all candidates must be willing to work cooperatively. Flexibility is a key trait along with loyalty to the brand. Opportunities for advancement are available in other areas within the business. We promote from within and our current staff are responsible for brewing/events/special projects and social media however we all start behind the bar.
Initiative and creativity go a long way as our staff are involved in many promotional initiatives. We are an owner operated business and passionate about what we do. Due to the hours required for this position you will work directly for the owner.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $6.00 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 35 per week
