Job Overview
As a Concrete Construction Superintendent at Crookham Construction, you will oversee and manage all aspects of concrete construction projects from site planning to completion. You will lead and coordinate the efforts of project teams, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and adherence to project timelines and specifications. Your leadership and expertise will play a critical role in the successful delivery of our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise concrete construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Lead and mentor project teams, including foremen, crews, subcontractors, and suppliers, to ensure efficient and effective project execution.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to review project plans, specifications, and requirements, and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Oversee and enforce safety protocols and regulations on job sites to maintain a safe working environment for all team members and subcontractors.
- Monitor project progress, productivity, and quality assurance to ensure work meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.
- Manage project budgets, costs, and expenses, and take proactive measures to control project costs and maximize profitability.
- Resolve issues, conflicts, and challenges that arise during construction, providing timely and effective solutions to keep projects on track.
- Conduct regular site inspections, meetings, and progress reviews to track milestones, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare and submit project reports, including progress updates, budget summaries, and completion documentation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Highschool diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar leadership role in concrete construction, with a strong background in managing large-scale projects.
- Extensive knowledge of concrete construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve project goals.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and blueprints.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools to plan, schedule, and track project progress.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a proactive approach to managing challenges and ensuring project success.
- OSHA certification and commitment to safety best practices in construction.
