Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in setting up and preparing construction sites as per the specific requirements of each project.
- Handle and transport materials (including concrete and building materials) and tools to the construction site with care and efficiency.
- Operate a variety of tools and machines such as jackhammers, concrete mixers, and vibrators effectively and safely.
- Measure, mix, pour, and spread concrete accurately under the supervision of a senior contractor.
- Monitor concrete installations and ensure they conform to all specifications, smoothing out imperfections as necessary.
- Follow all established safety rules and regulations, and maintain a safe and clean environment on the job site.
- Interpret blueprints or architectural diagrams to properly lay out the work area.
- Collaborate closely with supervisory and technical staff to help optimize workflow and enhance project delivery timelines.
- Conduct maintenance and repair tasks on malfunctioning or outdated machinery.
- Participate in training sessions and safety meetings to remain compliant with the latest industry practices and techniques in concrete work.
