Job Purpose: The Packaging, Quality, and Delivery Technician is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of products while supporting packaging, quality control, and inventory management processes. This part-time role combines technical expertise with logistics to ensure our high-quality biological products are packaged, maintained, and delivered safely to customers.
Key Responsibilities
Packaging and Fulfillment
- Accurately package orders, adhering to company specifications and deadlines.
- Organize and maintain packaging materials and tools.
- Support final product inspections to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
Quality Control and Inspection
- Conduct regular quality checks on packaging and products.
- Assist in feeding and maintaining biological products, ensuring proper care for their viability.
- Manage population levels in biological products in collaboration with the production team.
Delivery and Logistics
- Safely and efficiently deliver products to designated locations, ensuring on-time completion of deliveries.
- Provide outstanding customer service during product deliveries, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Navigate routes using Google Maps or Apple Maps for efficient deliveries.
Inventory and Storage Management
- Track and maintain inventory of biological products and packaging materials.
- Ensure proper storage conditions for products and manage stock levels effectively.
Administrative Support
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, packaging, and inventory updates.
- Complete and manage delivery documentation and reports.
Key Criteria/Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Entomology, Biology, agriculture or a related field preferred.
Experience:
Experience working with biological insects and performing quality checks or in quality role.
Previous professional driving experience is highly desirable.
Skills and Knowledge:
Familiarity with SAP for inventory and procurement management.
Proficiency in using smartphones for navigation and communication.
Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to follow established procedures.
Strong sense of navigation and proficiency with Google Maps and Apple Maps.
Licensing and Documentation:
Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record (certified driving record may be required).
Must be a U.S. citizen and reside in or near Michigan.
