The PRIME Compliance Specialist position at Cross Accounting Solutions is responsible for efficiently processing certified payroll, meticulously managing compliance processes and documentation, and expertly handling the filing and reporting requirements for all government subcontractors and their corresponding Subcontractors.
The ideal candidate excels in basic accounting tasks, has exceptional communication skills in both English and Spanish, has a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of urgency. The PRIME Compliance Specialist actively contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.
Responsibilities :
Payroll and Compliance Management :
Works under the supervision of Certified Project Manager and alongside with Senior Compliance Specialist and Project Manager to ensure compliance with all government contractors, subcontractors, and their subcontractors.Responsible for timely review and filing of certified payroll, proof of payment, and compliance documents. Reports must be kept up to date, with no more than a four-week backlog permissible.Verify that the CAS Billing sheet aligns with the data submitted by clients and uploaded onto various platforms for certified payroll processing. This information will be used for accounting purposes and billing.Analyzes hours received to confirm no items are missing, requests missing information in a timely manner.Uses various software to file payroll on a weekly basis for all assigned subcontractors.Responsible for proof of payment for assigned subcontractors.Main point of contact for all audits.Client Interaction and Communication :
Collaborates closely with clients to achieve compliance goals and objectives and serves as the primary contact.Responds in a timely manner to all requests, email correspondence from all assigned subcontractors.Communicates professionally and effectively to clients, peers, and teammates.Data Management and Reporting :
Responsible for all weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports of assigned subcontractors.Maintains database of independent contractor agreements, client contact information, billing sheet, and overview sheet.Reports all underpayments, discrepancies, or compliance issues to upper management in a timely manner.Request hours Monday and follow up by Friday for all assigned subcontractors.Submit Wednesday Compliance status report to the main subcontractor.Exercise vigilance in identifying any discrepancies that may impact billing accuracy.Additional duties may be assigned.Requirements :
Fluency in English and Spanish is required.Proficiency in both written and spoken communication is essential for effectively interacting with our diverse clientele and team members.1-2 years of experience in project management, or entry-level accounting, finance, or related role is preferred and / or 1-2 years of experience in an entry-level compliance role highly preferred.Associate or bachelors degree highly preferred.Strong mathematical skills required.Valid Drivers License preferred, but not required.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word).Strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.Attention to detail and accuracy.Professional demeanor and appearance.Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretion.EEO Statement
