Soldering Technician

Job Description:

The Solder Technician position will support the daily production activities of a highly experienced crew of technicians, engineers, inspectors and quality assurance team. The candidate for this position will be responsible for the Repair and Testing of Circuit boards. Must have experience soldering surface mount components).

Job Responsibilities:

• Tester setup to perform electrical testing.
• Use of soldering equipment to replace or reflow surface mount components.
• Read and follow special test instructions, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions for assembling and testing
• Basic knowledge of electronic components.
• Perform data entry based on test results

Job Requirements:

• Requires a minimum of 1yr surface mount soldering.
• Strong understanding of equipment used in repair of electronic circuits/components.
• Basic understanding of electronic test equipment
• Experience in mechanical assembly and disassembly.
• Must be able to work with magnification aids.
• Ability to effectively use electronic repair tools and testers.
• Ability to effectively manage time and complete all tasks as assigned by the supervisor
• Ability to work with schematics and drawings.
• Experience in PCB repair including soldering and de-soldering of components.

Working Conditions:

• Bench technician
• Using small hand tools and electronic test equipment
• Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Work area has fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
• Moderate to low noise level.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
