About the Job
As an interventional radiology technologist, you'll assist physicians with minimally invasive procedures such as catheterization of the heart. You'll work in an operating room or cardiac cath lab, preparing equipment and assisting surgeons to ensure patient safety.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during procedures such as angioplasty, ablation, embolization, stenting, thrombolysis, or biopsies
- Maintain sterile conditions and monitor patient vitals
- Prepare and operate medical imaging equipment
- Care for patients undergoing various medical procedures
Requirements
- 1 year of recent acute care experience in interventional radiology
- ARRT Certification
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- Current state license
