Job Description
An MRI technologist takes medical images of patients using magnetic resonance imaging for diagnostic purposes. This role operates in hospitals, outpatient centers, private practices, imaging centers, or other healthcare facilities. Responsibilities include preparing patients for MRIs, operating MRI technology, processing MRIs for radiologists and physicians, and handling patient records. Additionally, you might use other radiologic equipment such as CTs and X-rays.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience: At least 1 year of recent experience as an MRI technologist
- Certifications: ARRT Certification, BLS Certification (AHA)
- Licensure: Current state license (if applicable)
