Job Description
The nuclear medicine technologist will prepare patients for testing by administering radioactive drugs under the supervision of a physician at a hospital, physician's office, diagnostic lab, or imaging center.
Responsibilities:
- Help patients understand the procedure and prepare them for testing
- Administer radioactive drugs as directed by a physician
- Operate equipment to conduct tests and procedures
- Keep accurate records of patient information and test results
Requirements
To be successful as a nuclear medicine technologist, you must have:
- At least 1 year of recent experience in a relevant setting and specialty
- ARRT/NMTCB certification
- BLS certification (AHA)
- Current state license (if applicable)
