About the Job
You will be responsible for reviewing medical histories, developing and implementing speech therapy treatment plans, recommending equipment, and monitoring patient progress. This is a critical role that requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Responsibilities
- Review medical histories and develop individualized treatment plans
- Implement speech therapy treatments, including exercises, activities, and strategies to improve communication skills
- Recommend equipment and technology to support patient communication
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent experience as a speech language pathologist in an inpatient setting
- Degree in relevant field (e.g., Speech-Language Pathology)
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- Current state license
