Emergency Medicine Physician Needed in Western Pennsylvania
Job Summary
We are seeking a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician to join our team at a hospital in Western Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced emergency department environment and be able to provide high-quality patient care.
Scope of Work
- Bread-and-butter emergency medicine cases, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
- Will work alongside Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and sign off on their orders and procedures
Responsibilities
- Performing procedures such as intubations, chest tubes, central lines, joint and fracture reductions, joint aspirations, laceration repair, and incision and drainage
- Coordinating admissions with the Hospitalist and Specialist Group
Requirements
- Active PA medical license
- Active DEA license with a PA address
- ABEM or ABOM certification
- Completion of an Emergency Medicine residency program
Work Environment
The selected physician will work at two facilities, each with varying volumes and staffing models. Facility 1 has a volume of 19,000 patients per year, with 24 hours of physical coverage and 12 hours of APP coverage daily. Facility 2 has a volume of 51,000 patients per year, with 70 hours of physical coverage and 24 hours of APP coverage daily.
