About the Job
Cross Country Locums is seeking a highly skilled Family Practice physician to fill a contract position in South Dakota. This opportunity requires a professional with excellent clinical skills and strong communication abilities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in an urgent care setting, including diagnosing and treating medical and minor surgical illnesses. The physician will also be required to perform follow-up visits and obtain consultations for complex patients.
The typical workweek will consist of 40-50 hours, worked between the hours of 8am and 8pm, Monday through Friday. Occasional additional hours may be required, and the provider will typically be scheduled to cover the closing shift of 11am to 8pm depending on staffing needs.
Requirements
- Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine
- Minimum of 2 years of experience within the past 36 months
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proof of current immunizations status and a current PPD within the past year
- A valid, unrestricted license to practice medicine
