Cross Country Locums is seeking a Board Certified Pediatric Hospitalist locum Tenens at Top Sumpter Hospital

Start Date : As soon as credentialed (March)
9-12 months possibly longer
1 week (7 days) per month. Providers rarely come in for call
Travel provided
Responsibilities include :
Providing inpatient and newborn services for infants and children
Rounding in a Level II nursery
Stabilization of critically ill newborns and children while awaiting transfer
Providing coverage for high-risk deliveries.
The position is supported by pediatric subspecialists at the regional Children s Hospital via local telemedicine and satellite clinics.
Family medicine residents also participate in providing care on the pediatric and newborn services. -There are potential teaching responsibilities for 3rd year medical students.
The newborn service has 1,300 deliveries annually, along with 200 admissions to the level II nursery and 300 to the pediatric inpatient unit.
