What are the responsibilities and job description for the Labor and Delivery Nurse Specialist position at Cross Country Nurses?
At Cross Country Nurses, we're seeking a dedicated labor and delivery nurse to join our team. As a travel nurse in this role, you'll provide expert care to women and newborns during the antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal stages of childbirth.
This includes coaching women throughout the birthing process, monitoring the mother's and baby's vitals, administering medication, and managing potential complications that may arise. You'll also provide education and guidance to new mothers regarding recovery and caring for their infants.
To be successful in this role, you'll need at least 1 year of recent acute care experience in labor and delivery and an active RN license.
