Summary
As a medical/surgical chemotherapy-certified oncology nurse (RN M/S-Onc), you will extend care to patients receiving chemotherapy treatment for cancer. This includes assessing their condition, starting intravenous (IV) lines, administering chemotherapy, changing dressings, monitoring vitals and documenting in patient charts.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients' conditions and develop effective care plans.
- Administer chemotherapy and manage side effects.
- Provide education and support to patients and families.
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust care plans as needed.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent acute care experience in specialty.
- Current licensure as an RN in the United States.
- Chemotherapy certification preferred.
