Position Summary :

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Maintains individual and team productivity and budget expectations for the therapy department on a consistent basis set by either the Therapy Resource Manager and / or facility administrator.
- Recruits, manages, develops, and motivates PT, OT, SLP, COTA, and PTA staff.
- Ensures the best possible skilled therapy services are provided to our patients.
- Helps residents by providing rehabilitative services to persons with mental, physical, psychosocial, and / or developmental impairments.
- Monitors therapy services to make sure they are performed correctly and provides encouragement when necessary.
- Maintains patient therapy records by recording resident’s progress and daily notes and ensuring other therapy staff do so on a timely basis that establishes skilled therapy services were provided.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following facility policy and procedures.
- Helps keep therapy equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
- Enhances therapy practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Be the primary liaison between therapy staff and IDT, residents, families, and insurance case managers.
