SMALL BUSINESS UNIT - COMMERCIAL LINES ACCOUNT MANAGER
Job Summary :
The Commercial Lines Account Manager is an integral link in the business relationship that is created by our Agency, our clients, and our companies. The Account Manager will objectively access the client's needs, our Agency goals and the individual underwriting practices of our companies when placing coverage on our behalf. Specific customer service and marketing responsibilities are required in this position.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Prepare, monitor and process renewals in accordance with agency procedures. This includes, but is not limited to, preparing applications, summaries and proposals of insurance; marketing submissions to various carriers; obtaining marketing materials (i.e. experience modification worksheets, loss runs, etc.); reviewing quotes, following up with clients and underwriters as needed; binding with carriers; issuing binders or confirmation of coverage; processing policies and preparing for mailing to client. Processing of policies includes verifying all underwriting information is as submitted; all coverage is as requested and bound; forms and exclusions are standard and as agreed upon; premiums are accurate; enter information into the client database in accordance with agency procedures.
- Daily account servicing, assisting clients via telephone & / or electronically; requesting changes, checking and processing endorsements; reviewing and processing audits, working with client and carriers on any audit discrepancies; monitoring certificate / EPI requests with our Certificate Department, and assisting when necessary.
- Sets priorities and manages workflow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities.
- Facilitate and monitor invoicing, monthly statements, payments and finance agreements.
- Maintain monthly reports, suspense, unbilled premium, renewal retention, to be kept current date as required by quality management guidelines.
- Knowledge of industry information, carrier products and coverages. Understanding of technology as it pertains to day-to-day inter-office operations, as well as navigating various carrier website quoting application systems.
- Maintains a cordial and professional relationship with clients, co-workers, companies, vendors and other business contacts.
- Property & Casualty License
