Job description:
Observe and monitor test engines or vehicles tests by computer controlled to measure engine lubricant, fuel or engine performance. Follow written and verbal instructions, observe monitors, records and adjust controlled parameters as described in test procedures. Maintains log files of various types in accordance with test procedures. Communicates with coworkers, supervisors and project leaders regarding tests, prepares, extracts and labels specimens as described in the test procedures / instructions. Perform routine engine maintenance. Perform engine tune-ups, fluid changes, transmission removal, cylinder head removal, tire removal and replacements, fuel tank removal and cleaning, injector removal and replacement. Perform standard maintenance; test engine installations and removal; use diagnostics tools (scanner & voltage meters) to troubleshoot poor engine performance. Perform fabrication and plumbing duties. Maintain a clean work environment and complies with all safety regulations and standards.
Required Education, Education, Skills and Abilities:
Workdays Monday - Friday with weekend work as needed
Project is a 24/7 program so candidates must be flexible with hours on day, night and weekend work.

Required Education, Education, Skills and Abilities:
- Must have basic knowledge and skills and abilities of basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and calculating percentages
- Must be able to recognize automotive engines, automotive fluids and engine accessories and their basic functions
- Must be able to use computers for data entry and test diagnostics.
- Must be able to interpret and use engine manuals
- Ability to identify poor engine performance with high noise levels, high heat and high fumes
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs with assistance
- Must be able to follow and adhere to safety regulations and practices
- Work with both hands and adjust mechanical knobs, levers, brackets and buttons as instructed
- Must be able to work independently with limited supervision while communicating effectively with others and work efficiently.
- Must be able to use hand tools and power tools
- Must have a HS diploma or equivalent with 1 year of experience in the automotive industry is required
- Must have steel toes shoes
- MVR is required
