Energy Services and Development Project Manager III - Transportation Electrification

Description:

This position focuses on transportation electrification projects. The client is committed to sustainability and community development, aiming to reduce carbon emissions and boost local economies by expanding EV infrastructure in rural areas. The role involves planning, leading, and monitoring large-scale projects to ensure safe, high-quality execution within budget and schedule constraints. The Project Manager will also ensure compliance with standards, regulatory requirements, and grant guidelines.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Apply project management techniques to lead, plan, schedule, and optimize resources for large-scale construction projects.
  • Ensure high-quality execution and resolve schedule delays and conflicts.
  • Lead, mentor, and collaborate with diverse teams to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project budgets to ensure on-time, on-budget project completion.
  • Regularly monitor project progress and deliver status reports.
  • Exercise sound judgment in decision-making, manage risks, and ensure compliance with all policies, laws, and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain long-term project strategies and plans.
  • Interface with stakeholders, project vendors, and management to ensure alignment and progress.
  • Prepare and deliver written and oral communications to senior management and other groups.
  • Align project activities with grant guidelines and ensure accurate reporting.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree: From an accredited institution in technology or business, with 10 years of construction project management experience.
  • OR
  • Associates Degree: From an accredited institution, with 12 years of construction project management experience.
  • OR
  • High School Diploma/GED: With 14 years of construction project management experience.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced proficiency in project management techniques, Microsoft Office, and project management software.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and resolve high-risk issues effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale construction projects, including:
  • Planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.
  • Ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery while complying with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Expertise in the construction bidding process and working with construction firms.

Desired Skills and Certifications:

  • Experience with WSDOT NEVI (National EV Infrastructure) and ZEVIP (Zero Emissions Vehicle Infrastructure Program).
  • Knowledge of site lease agreements.
  • Thorough experience with state and federal grant compliance.


Project Management Certifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
