Job Title : Earned Value Management System Analyst
Overview :
The Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Analyst serves as a subject matter expert in Earned Value Management and Project Controls best practices . This role supports Energy Northwest's business requirements by promoting sound decision-making in planning, scheduling, budgeting, financial analysis, cost control, and risk management. The position ensures that budget, cost, and schedule practices adhere to generally accepted accounting principles , industry standards, and contractual requirements.

Principal Accountabilities :
Project Controls Oversight : Manage Capital and O&M projects, adhering to Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.Primavera P6 Administration :Conduct security audits.Manage user access and maintain code fields.Update and maintain Organizational Breakdown Structure (OBS).Reporting and Reconciliation :Process month-end project reporting using EVM tools.Approve and implement baseline changes through the EVM system.Upload budgets, labor offsets, and contingency updates into the financial system.Reconcile contingency data monthly using Power BI.Perform quarterly Long-Range Plan (LRP) reconciliations to ensure alignment across systems (P6, financial systems, etc.).Fiscal Planning and Coordination :Plan the annual budget cycle by reviewing and validating initial baseline schedules.Load fiscal year budgets and files into the financial system.Coordinate project planning between Project Controls and Business Planning teams.Trend Analysis and Process Improvement :Assist Project Controls supervisors in analyzing project performance trends.Identify and propose improvements to Project Controls reporting and benchmarks.Maintain and update Power BI reports and datasets.System Maintenance :Interface with Information Services and other departments for P6 upgrades.Ensure adherence to Project Controls standards.Leadership and Special Assignments :Lead special projects and assignments with minimal supervision.Demonstrate leadership skills and proficiency gained through experience and education.Required Education and Experience :
Option 1 : Bachelor's degree and 7 years of industrial-level experience in financial / accounting / budgeting / risk roles (preferably in a large company or profit center).Option 2 : Associate's degree and 9 years of relevant experience.Option 3 : High school diploma / GED and 11 years of relevant experience.Desired Education and Experience :
Formal training in Primavera P6 Professional .Certifications from the Project Management Institute (PMP, PBA, SP, CAPM, or RMP).Utility industry or nuclear power generation experience.Process improvement expertise and previous BWR nuclear power experience with EVMS applications.Required Skills and Abilities :
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power BI, and PowerPoint .Strong understanding of planning, financial management, budgeting practices , and risk management.Ability to develop high-quality work products with limited oversight.Excellent presentation and communication skills , with the ability to address audiences from department managers to senior leaders.Team-oriented with proven leadership capabilities.Comprehensive knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies and Primavera P6 Professional / administration.Demonstrated ability to function as both a service provider and a controller .Desired Skills and Abilities :
Familiarity with nuclear plant operations, including BWR systems , design basis, and regulatory requirements.General knowledge of project and net billing agreements and accounting principles .Proven leadership capabilities to maximize team performance.Benefits :
