Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated IT/IS Project Coordinator to manage and support project teams of 1 to 5 people. This role involves planning, scheduling, and controlling project and program activities. The ideal candidate will act as a subject matter specialist for specific projects, ensuring efficiency and alignment with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate project teams of 1 to 5 individuals, overseeing planning, scheduling, and control of project activities.
- Serve as a specialist for specific projects, maintaining detailed knowledge of all project aspects.
- Stay updated on new developments and technologies relevant to the projects.
- Monitor project progress and recommend changes to enhance operating efficiency.
- Develop and manage budgetary estimates for projects.
Work Location
- This is an on-site role (no remote work).
Required Education and Experience
- Option 1: Bachelors degree in Engineering, IT, Business, or a related field from an accredited college or university and 1 year of experience in a technical field.
- Option 2: Associate degree in a technical curriculum from an accredited college or university and 3 years of experience in a technical field.
- Option 3: High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of experience in a technical field.
Required Abilities and Skills
- Project Management: Basic project management techniques and strong skills in leading projects and initiatives.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to exercise sound judgment, evaluate options, and make decisions based on facts and rational assumptions while considering organizational resources.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Understanding of technical specifications, code requirements, and standards.
- Ability to develop cost-benefit analyses to support project options.
- Software Proficiency: Basic use of computer software tools.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including goal setting and prioritization.
- Organizational Skills: Demonstrated ability to plan and organize effectively while maintaining awareness of interrelationships among tasks.
