Assigned mechanical job duties to maintain and repair food processing equipment. Completes repairs during the processing season to meet production goals. Overhaul and install plant equipment during non-production periods to be ready for the next scheduled production run.

- Inspect, repair and maintain machinery, and equipment throughout the facility.
- Trouble shoot, repair, and replace machinery as required.
- Read sketches and blueprints to determine layout of assigned work.
- Design, fabricate, weld, and install equipment as required.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and PM completed.
- Monitor equipment operation making any necessary adjustments.
- Complete PO Requests to order parts and supplies for the department.
- Assist in training new and junior Mechanics.
- Some post-high school education or training is beneficial
- Knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Good written and oral communication.
- Mechanical repair and equipment maintenance knowledge.
- Attention to detail when working with diagrams, prints and manuals.
- Must be capable of working by yourself on individual projects as well as a team member on projects.
- Able to lift moderate to heavy weights (up to 100 lbs). Carrying up to 50 lbs, hearing, holding, walking, sitting, talking, reaching, seeing, standing, driving .

- Responsible for completion of all job assignments in accordance with established procedures to meet qualtiy, production, and safety goals.
- Frequent interaction with plant/warehouse managers and superintendents. Constant interaction with other hourly personnel. As well as, i nfrequent contact with suppliers, vendors, and contractors.
