Shift- Hiring for a 2 nd Shift Maintenance Mechanic (6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.). Would train on 1 st Shift for the first month or two. Would then be "2x2x3 " schedule after that.
This plant is almost one million square feet. We are a distributor of packaged fruits and vegetables. Our Pack Season consists of cabbage and sauerkraut.

- Perform daily maintenance and repair of production line equipment to ensure continuous operation.

- Overhaul and maintain pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and electrical motors.
- Troubleshoot and repair machinery issues to minimize production downtime.
- Maintain detailed repair logs for tracking machine performance and repairs.
- Uphold housekeeping standards in work areas.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Proficient in welding (ARC, MIG, TIG) and the use of hand and power tools.
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues quickly.
- Ability to maintain and repair production equipment and facilities.
- Experience working with pneumatics, hydraulics, and various industrial machinery.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Minimum 5-12 months of experience in a mechanical or maintenance role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Frequent walking and standing on concrete floors.
- Ability to work in environments exposed to high temperatures, wet or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and loud noise.
- Exposure to industrial environments, including wet or humid conditions, high temperatures, and mechanical hazards.
- May be required to work in areas with fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals.
- Adherence to all plant safety guidelines, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as bump caps, earplugs, safety glasses, and hairnets.
- Proper use of PPE when handling cleaning chemicals.
