Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant with a proven track record in public accounting to join our firm. The ideal candidate is a CPA with 5-10 years of experience preparing various tax returnsincluding individual, trust and estate, partnership, corporation, and S corporation returns. This role is designed for a self-starter who is detail-oriented, takes initiative, and is comfortable engaging directly with clients. With potential for future ownership in the firm, this is a unique opportunity to grow your career and contribute to our firms success.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare a variety of tax returns including individual, trust and estate, partnership, corporation, and S corporation returns.
Utilize QuickBooks proficiently to manage client accounts and financial data.
Handle payroll reporting accurately.
Provide excellent client service through in-person meetings and phone calls.
Commit to mandatory overtime (15 hours per week) during peak periods :
February 1 April 15
August 15 October 15
Participate actively in firm initiatives aimed at elevating overall performance and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
CPA certification is required.
5-10 years of experience in public accounting.
Demonstrated expertise in preparing a range of tax returns.
Proficiency in QuickBooks and familiarity with payroll reporting.
Strong interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive in driving firm growth.
Open to long-term opportunities, including potential future ownership in the firm.
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Rate : $32 per hour
Overtime is paid at time and a half.
Vacation & Personal Time : 2 weeks of vacation annually
1 week of personal time annually
