The Job
This role involves developing and implementing enterprise ontologies to support Cross River's Data Strategy. As a Data Engineer II - Ontology Lead, you'll work closely with various teams to develop domain ontologies for enterprise initiatives focused on BSA/AML related processes.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop Problem Statements: Create clear and actionable problem statements that guide teams towards delivering results, demonstrating expertise in ontologies and optimized data models.
- Drive Alignment: Leverage customer insights to drive alignment between stakeholders in the development of acceptance criteria, ensuring seamless collaboration.
- Lead the Ontology Roadmap: Prioritize and own the near-term Ontology roadmap for the Palantir implementation, driving business outcomes through effective planning.
- Partner with Technology Teams: Collaborate with Technology, Data Science, and other Cross River teams to integrate the ontology into our products and services.
- Deliver Results: Develop reusable, extensible, and resilient capabilities, identifying opportunities for improvement when key metrics aren't meeting expectations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as information science, computer science, engineering, or library science.
- Proven experience working with ontology and linked data tools (Palantir, Protégé, TopQuadrant, PoolParty, Stardog, AnzoGraph, Neptune, or Data.World).
- Strong background in metadata management, including ontology, taxonomy, and semantics.
