Job Title: Director of Independent Living Services (Village Manager)
Reports To: Executive Director
Job Summary:
The Director of Independent Living Services (Village Manager) is responsible for overseeing the health, safety, and welfare of apartment residents at Cross Road Village. The role requires fostering a calm, trusting environment, ensuring residents’ basic needs are met, and complying with all governing rules and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Admissions and Marketing
- Manage the admissions process, including tours, assessments, and paperwork.
- Coordinate external marketing efforts, public relations, advertising, and distribution of information packets.
- Resident Oversight
- Monitor residents’ health, safety, and welfare, addressing their needs as required.
- Oversee the routine cleaning and maintenance of apartments.
- Handle and coordinate transportation requests and related services for residents.
- Be available or on-call for resident emergencies and document unusual activity or incidents.
- Team Supervision
- Supervise Village housekeeping staff and ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Foster teamwork to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
- Customer Service and Professionalism
- Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a professional and pleasant demeanor.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with residents, families, and staff.
- Other Duties
- Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks without supervision.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional organizational and customer service skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk short or long distances throughout the day.
- Ability to concentrate and perform tasks amidst distractions.

Education and Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required).
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
