Apartment Maintenance Technician

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance and demonstrate proficiency in various mechanical and electrical tasks. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and safety of our facilities, providing excellent customer service while maintaining high standards of quality.

Duties

• Troubleshoots and repairs maintenance issues
• Professionally completes all daily work orders
• Displays strong customer service attitude to ensure the satisfaction of our residents
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems for tracking work orders and maintenance schedules.
• Communicates any delays in finishing a work order with the supervisor
• Ensures vacant units are rent-ready in a timely fashion
• Maintains curb appeal and cleanliness of the properties at all times
• Maintains trash rooms and dumpster areas
• Assists with clearing of snow and ice
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or residents, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform repairs on various systems, electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members, residents and vendors.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating leadership qualities when required.
• Ability to lift 50 or more pounds
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail is essential.
• A high school diploma or equivalent and two years related work experience is required
• Ability to read maintenance requests
• Complete understanding of proper applications of chemicals and general cleaning supplies
• Ability to frequently handle and use chemicals and general cleaning supplies
• The position may require the ability to physically inspect properties

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
