About Us:
CrossBridge Bio is at the forefront of innovation in antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) technology, specializing in developing lifesaving single and dual-payload ADCs. Our mission is to push the boundaries of cancer treatment and other diseases by pioneering novel bioconjugation methods that enhance therapeutic efficacy and precision. Join our team of passionate scientists and contribute to transformative research that has the potential to improve patients' lives.
Job Summary :
We seek a highly motivated research associate in Cellular Biology to join our dynamic research team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in cellular biology techniques, including cell culture, cytotoxicity assays, flow cytometry (FACS), Western blotting, ELISA, Incucyte assays and general protein assays. Experience in antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) is highly preferred. The candidate will play a critical role in evaluating ADCs and contributing to cross-functional research efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
In Vitro Pharmacology:
· Conduct cell-based assays (cytotoxicity, proliferation, Incucyte-based assays) to assess the activity and efficacy of ADCs.
· Perform flow cytometry analysis (FACS, i.e Cytek Aurora), ELISA and mechanism-of-action studies.
· Execute molecular biology and biochemistry techniques, such as Western blotting, In-Cell Western Assays (i.e LiCORbio), and In vitro characterization of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs.)
· Stay at the forefront of ADC and bioconjugation technologies by reviewing scientific literature and patent filings.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Pharmacology, Chemistry, Business Development and Process Development, to advance ADC candidates through the development pipeline. This includes providing bioconjugation expertise for in vitro and in vivo studies.
Maintain Laboratory Standards:
Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols, maintain accurate records, ensure high-quality experimental documentation, and adhere to good laboratory practices (GLP).
Learning Opportunities:
This role provides an exciting opportunity to expand your bioconjugation and ADC development expertise while working alongside a team of experienced scientists. You will gain hands-on experience designing and optimizing bioconjugation methods, including traditional and site-specific conjugation strategies for developing single and dual-payload ADCs. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to synthesize, purify, and characterize ADCs, utilizing advanced analytical techniques such as HPLC, Mass Spectrometry, and SDS-PAGE to evaluate conjugate quality, drug-antibody ratio (DAR), and stability. This position offers a dynamic learning environment where you will be encouraged to innovate, problem-solve, and contribute to cutting-edge ADC research.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills:
Education:
Master’s Degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or a related field (preferred). A Bachelor’s degree with extensive relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a Master’s degree.
Experience:
Required:
· At least 2 years of hands-on experience in molecular and cellular biology or pre-clinical drug discovery research.
· Strong laboratory techniques, including cell culture, cytotoxicity assays, cell-based binding assays, in-cell Western, ELISA, general protein assays, and flow cytometry.
· Proficiency in general laboratory techniques essential for cellular and molecular biology research.
Preferred:
• Strong knowledge of protein chemistry, particularly in the context of antibodies and their modifications.
• Familiarity with ADC characterization techniques, including DAR assessment, conjugate stability, and in vitro potency.
• Experience in bioconjugation, ADC development, or a closely related field.
• Proficiency in bioanalytical techniques such as HPLC, SDS-PAGE, and Flow Cytometry.
