Job Summary:
Mortgage Loan Apprentices are essential to our team, responsible for learning the business of home loans from top-producing loan officers and teams. They communicate directly with clients, realtors, builders, and business partners, requiring a sales-oriented individual with excellent time management skills and precise communication abilities.
Top 3 Responsibilities:
1. Lead Management and Conversion: Set appointments, conduct credit pulls, and ensure application completeness/accuracy (capacity 50-75 leads/mo). Convert up to 75 leads per month with a 40% conversion rate to application
2. Lead Follow-Up: Communicate with pre-qualified borrowers, execute team checklists for touchpoints, and generate current client referrals
3. Sales Growth: Work as a loan partner on a top-producing team while learning to originate/obtain an NMLS license, self-sourcing business tactics, and building a successful pipeline
Job Requirements:
* Obtain proper NMLS licensure within 360 days
* Ability to cold-call new contacts without fear
* Self-motivated, dependable, and have a 'Can Do' attitude
* Demonstrate outstanding customer service skills, prioritization, multitasking, and diplomacy skills
Essential Duties:
* Follow up on new loan leads within three hours per Pre-qual Lead Sheet instructions
* Set, manage, and confirm all appointments for clients to meet with loan officers and/or LP II for loan applications: communicate necessary items to bring in for appointment, etc.
* All leads added to lead tracker, ensuring follow-up attempts made until appointment is set
* Update referral partners on status of received leads
* Maintain a 40% or higher conversion rate from lead to appointment
* Manage documentation and collect application
* Continue assuming responsibilities and helping the team grow
* Attend daily team meetings, Monday loan reviews, and Sales meetings
* Obtain referrals from current clients
* Enter detailed comments into Encompass files conversation log to document each conversation regarding a file
Work Environment:
Regularly in a standard office environment; occasionally out of the office meeting with referral partners and clients
