Underwriters Wanted :
CrossCover Insurance Services, LLC (CrossCover), is seeking a Commercial Property Underwriter for our Houston, Texas , Chicago, IL , and Boston, MA offices.
Expectations :
We are looking for motivated, organized professionals who want to join a fast-growing Commercial Property Insurance MGU. You will collaborate with underwriting teams to underwrite new accounts, manage our existing book of business, and work with our broker partners.
What You Will Need :
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- 5 years of related experience in underwriting and risk assessment
- Knowledge of insurance principles, policies, and regulations
- Attention to detail
- Effective communication and negotiating skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficient in using underwriting software and tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification such as CPCU or ARM are a plus
- Work in office 5 days a week at any of the three (3) US locations

Job Description :
This is a full-time, in office, role for an Underwriter. The Underwriter will be responsible for assessing and evaluating insurance applications, analyzing risk factors, determining coverage terms and conditions, and underwriting policies within CrossCover’s Underwriting Guidelines and Underwriting Authority. In addition, the Underwriter will collaborate with brokers, agents, and other team members to develop and maintain strong relationships.
