Crossed Sabers Gift Shop Manager

This is a full-time position responsible for the operation of the Gift Shop. Positions at this level provide lead supervision to assigned staff and volunteers, perform the more technical management related work, and perform a variety of specialized duties related to the administration and operation of the Gift Shop. Employees at this level are required to be fully trained in all procedures related to assigned area of responsibility.

• Pay range: Full Time Boutique Associate- Higher compensation is commensurate on experience and availability.
• Manages gift shop operations to include a plan for the display and presentation of merchandise; changes displays regularly with a consideration to buying audience and season; supervises and works with staff stocking and displaying merchandise
• Answers telephone calls, messages, welcomes, and assists guests
• Responsible for opening and closing the shop as needed
• Supervises cashiering and receipting the sale of merchandise by cash and charge transactions and performs such duties as required; maintains sales records and makes daily reports
• Performs general office tasks, mailing, and shredding
• Prepares files and maintains physical or electronic records and documents in required formats
• Maintains and orders office supplies, and organizes inventory
• Produces various reports and reconciliations upon request
• Follows all financial policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail management and team leadership
• Strong skills in inventory management and control
• Proficient in using POS systems and cash registers
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
• Experience in purchasing and negotiation
• Familiarity with bookkeeping processes
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
• Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus

Pay: $13.04 - $13.96 per hour
