Key Responsibilities
This team is responsible for preparing financial and economic analysis for senior management to determine the profitability of different customer types, initiatives, and offers. You will:
- Develop and analyze financial models, tools and corresponding assumptions used to evaluate business case profitability within the Growth & Revenue team
- Independently partner with business units to develop costing/profitability models and reports
- Update financial models with current financial reporting trends and review assumptions to ensure accuracy
- Develop and assess business cases for investment decisions, providing insights and recommendations
- Prepare financial presentation materials and formal business case documents for senior leadership
- Present findings and recommendations to all levels of leadership
- Partner across teams to leverage digital finance tools for business insights
- Write and interpret SQL code for business revenue validation
- Analyze monthly business trends, including budget variance and KPIs to identify risks and opportunities
- Manage capital requirements, develop capital plans and provide recommendations on allocation
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Math or four or more years of equivalent work experience
- Six or more years of relevant work experience
- Financial analysis and modeling experience
- MBA, Master's in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- Experience in technology and/or telecommunications industry
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA, CMA)
- Strong analytical capabilities with proven ability to structure business cases around strategic vision
- Strategic skills with ability to identify key points, implications and recommendations
- Advanced understanding of corporate financial planning, reporting & analysis, and costing methodologies
- In-depth understanding of business and cost drivers, financial statement analysis
- Knowledge of FASB and SEC requirements, GAAP, tax reporting, and IFRS
- Experience in continuous improvement initiatives and project management
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, Tableau, Essbase, Smart View, Hyperion Planning, or Hyperion Strategic Finance
- Experience leading complex team projects with minimal supervision
