You will play a key role in supporting network transformation initiatives by maintaining accurate circuit records and managing transport solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Submit circuit disconnect orders and process disconnect responses from third-party providers.
- Audit Canvas (CND) and FUZE databases to maintain accurate circuit and equipment designations.
- Work closely with engineers on new technology upgrades and fiber network enhancements across Illinois and Wisconsin.
- Collaborate with transport engineers to optimize fronthaul, backhaul, and microwave networks.
- Manage work orders for new cell site builds and existing network expansions, including LTE and C-band carrier additions.
- Support transport documentation, ensuring accurate circuit tracking and vendor coordination.
- Partner with field engineering and network assurance teams to drive fiber connectivity activation.
- Work with telco vendors to execute disconnect orders, ensuring cost savings and service efficiency.
- Attend project update meetings and provide technical solutions to support interconnect implementation plans.
Required:
- Experience in the cellular/telecom industry with LIT and dark fiber circuit projects.
- Familiarity with circuit management databases (Canvas CND, FUZE).
- Knowledge of LIT Ethernet, dark fiber, and transport networks.
- Experience with Ericsson baseband, Ciena 5164/Nokia IXRe, and Assentria Siteboss.
- Strong organizational skills to track disconnect orders, work orders, and vendor management.
- Ability to work in a hybrid setup, with at least two days per week in the Rolling Meadows, IL office.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- 3 years of transport design experience in telecom/cellular networks.
- Experience working with third-party vendors, ordering processes, and network portfolio maps.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
- Self-motivated with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
