Overview for the Systems Administrator Senior :
Information Technology seeks to hire a highly motivated and dedicated professional to maintain and support the Outage Management System (OMS). OMS is our main application for managing outage restoration process. The right candidate is a team player who understands the criticality of application development to the success of our business.
Responsibilities for the Systems Administrator Senior :
- Include implementation of new patches and configuration updates to the vendor product as new updates come in or when required by the Control Center.
- With minimal guidance, candidate must be able to effectively maintain and update mission critical core and in-house applications in addition to performing programming / debugging activities related to new system development.
- The candidate must be able to document step-by-step deployment process.
- Responsible for migrating code changes from Development, Test and Production environments.
- Develop and support in-house applications that support and interact with vendor product.
- Maintain detailed documentation of issues and the changes that are implemented to resolve them.
- Provide 24x7 on call support on a rotating basis.
- Open Service Requests and work with other support group to evaluate and impact, test and perform post pre and post update validation for Oracle DB and Linux patches.
- Work closely with other technical groups to manage and address any issues with physical servers, permissions, cluster issues and BizTalk (integration services) for Middleware orchestrations.
- Implement and adhere to
- Cyber Security policies and procedures. Ensures Company safety, health and environmental.
- Ensures that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations.
- Excellent communication skills are required, as the candidate will routinely interact with various business groups both within and outside of IT.
