Wireless Transport Engineer with focus on project coordination and project management.
Responsibilities for the Wireless Transport Engineer :
This team is responsible for fiber acquisition for wireless macro and small cells in the New England market. This role would be responsible for project management of various transport related projects, managing work with third party vendors, and assigning work to contracting firms. Former experience working in Transport Engineer is required, ideally on a wireless engineering team.
- Handling vendor management responsibilities, including engineering / design, managing budgets, procurement, and complete project management ensuring objectives are met in accordance with stated timelines.
- Maintaining an accurate circuit inventory; monitoring usage data from the traffic engineering reports and us this data to determine capacity requirements.
- Developing and tracking capital requirements and forecasting growth, ensuring optimum equipment utilization / efficiency, procuring required equipment, and overseeing installation.
- Assisting in compiling / forecasting projected backhaul circuit requirements / costs.
- Performing audits of facility and transport database for accuracy and providing utilization reports to management. Work in conjunction with Area and HQ planning and transport teams to engineer and implement inter-Market facilities requirements.
Working with Area Direct Telecom analysts and Sub-Market teams to identify and reconcile vendor billing disputes.
