What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Mechanical Technician II position at CrossFire Group?
Our client, a major chemical manufacturer, is seeking an Industrial Mechanical Technician to play a critical role in maintaining and improving their operations at their Parma, ID facility!
These long-term contract positions (possibility of extension or direct hire for the right individual) offer a starting pay rate of $35 / hour (benefits are available).
Key Responsibilities :
Perform scheduled tasks and repair equipment breakdowns promptly.
Maintain and improve equipment reliability through troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
Work with maintenance supervision, technicians, engineers, and production personnel to design and modify plant equipment.
Repair and maintain mechanical equipment, including :
Mechanical seals
Gearboxes
Drive couplings
Agitators
Pumps
Rigging
Welding and pipe fabrication
Operate general shop equipment such as band saws, drill presses, grinders, and power tools.
Follow all safety regulations, maintain housekeeping standards, and actively participate in safety meetings.
Provide 24 / 7 on-call support for production demands, with availability for overtime, weekends, and after-hours work as needed.
Qualifications :
Required Skills & Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
Computer literacy and basic proficiency with software tools.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and carry up to 50 lbs.
Capability to bend, kneel, squat, crawl, climb ladders, and reach above shoulder level.
Manual dexterity for wrist turning, finger manipulation, and grasping.
Comfortable working at elevated heights and within hazardous locations.
