Our client, a major chemical manufacturer, is looking to add some Material Handlers to their team in Greenville, OH.
These contract positions (eligible for extension or direct hire for the right candidates) offer a starting pay rate of $20 / hour (benefits are also available).

Position : Material Handler / Logistics
Responsibilities :
Load and off-load packaged materials
Stage materials to support production
Operate powered industrial equipment such as forklifts and yard tractors
Maintain safety and hygiene standards in material handling
Perform inspections and housekeeping duties
Utilize computer skills for training opportunities
Key Attributes :
Willingness to work in a team-oriented atmosphere
Cooperative spirit and motivation to assist team members
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain a steady work pace
Commitment to safety and process safety programs
Participation in compliance audits, safety reviews, and hazard assessments
Understanding of primary hazards and safeguards in the work area
Minimum Qualifications :
High School Diploma
Experience operating powered industrial equipment, specifically forklifts and yard tractors
Preferred Qualifications :
Hazardous Materials Handling Certification CFR49 (preferred but not required)
Experience :
Material handling, forklift and yard tractor operation
Experience handling chemicals is preferred
Strong teamwork skills and a self-directed work ethic
Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift 55 pounds
Frequent standing, walking, and use of stairs
Occasional lifting, bending, and twisting
Use of respiratory protection and PPE for hazardous materials duties
Ability to work in varying temperatures and weather conditions
