Position : Polymer Resin Chemist
Our client, a major chemical manufacturer, is looking for a contract Polymer Lab Tech for their Southfield, MI, site.
This is a long-term contract position (possible extension or direct hire for the right candidate ) with a pay rate of $27 / Hour (benefits are available).

Primary Responsibilities :
- Synthesize and develop new or improved polymer resins under the guidance of an experienced chemist.
- Set up and conduct organic reactions in a laboratory environment.
- Operate laboratory-scale solvent and water-phase polymerization reactors .
- Evaluate and test new raw materials for incorporation into existing polymer resin formulations.
- Measure physical properties of polymer specimens using viscometers, particle size analyzers, rheometers, and other analytical instruments.
- Maintain organized lab spaces and accurate project documentation.
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely data entry and reporting.
- Uphold strict safety and cleanliness standards in all lab activities.
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development in polymer chemistry.
- Communicate results effectively through written reports, emails, and discussions.
