Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Material Handler in our Suffolk location. The ideal candidate will efficiently manage the flow of goods, ensure accurate inventory control, and maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Responsibilities:
∙Loading and Unloading: Load and unload inventory from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and production areas. ∙Inventory Management: Manage inventory by identifying, cataloging, and recording the location inventory.
Monitor supply levels and submit purchasing recommendations as needed. ∙Equipment Operation: Operate various machinery, including forklifts, and pallet jacks, to handle materials and inventory.
∙Order Fulfillment: Analyze pick sheets based on clients' orders and pull the appropriate products for each order. Ability to properly prepare orders for shipping
including packing, banding and shrink wrapping.
∙Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations.
∙Documentation: Document orders, materials, and any stock movements.
∙Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Qualifications:
∙1 years of experience in warehousing
∙Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
∙Verifiable experience in material handling and shipping/receiving operations ∙Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
∙Strong communication and interpersonal skills
∙Valid forklift operator's license/OSHA Certification
∙Knowledge of DOT regulations and OSHA guidelines
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
